Terms and Conditions

The terms for using this website and the general terms behind every quotation and order from Printoria Books.

Last updated 10 October 2026

About These Terms

These terms apply to your use of this website and to quotations and orders with Printoria Books (“we”, “us”). Our company details are listed on this page.

Your written quotation or order confirmation may set specific terms for an order, such as prices, payment, delivery, proofs and quantity tolerances. Where they differ from these terms, the quotation or order confirmation prevails.

By using the website or placing an order, you accept these terms. If you act for a company or organisation, you confirm that you may accept them on its behalf.

Using This Website

You may use this website to learn about our services and to contact us. Please don’t misuse it: don’t try to break into it, overload it, send automated or false requests through its forms, or use it for anything unlawful.

The information on the website is general and may change. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don’t guarantee that it is always complete, current or uninterrupted.

Prices, the Calculator and Quotations

  • Prices shown by the book calculator and anywhere else on the website are indicative estimates. They are not an offer and don’t bind us.
  • Your price is set only by a written quotation from us, based on your final specification and files. Each quotation states how long it is valid.
  • Unless a quotation says otherwise, prices are in euro and exclude VAT and shipping. Shipping is calculated by weight and destination and stated in your quotation.
  • Premium extras (such as spot UV, foil, embossing and cover flaps), custom sizes and specifications outside our instant pricing are quoted on request.
  • If a price on the website or in a quotation contains an obvious error, we may correct it before an order is confirmed.

Savings and Price Comparisons

Savings figures such as “up to 50%” and the price comparison across European countries are based on quotations for one book specification, collected at a point in time. They show what is possible, not a promise: your savings depend on your specification, quantity, timing and the market.

Orders

A contract is formed only when you accept our written quotation and we confirm your order in writing. We may decline an order, for example if its content is unlawful or we can’t produce it to our standards.

Payment terms, delivery terms, proofing and any deposit are set out in your quotation or order confirmation.

Your Files and Content

  • You are responsible for your files and their content: text, spelling, images, layout, colours and page order. Please prepare them as described in our File Requirements.
  • Where we send you a proof, check it carefully. Once you approve it, we print to the approved proof and are not responsible for errors it contains.
  • You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything in your files (including text, images, illustrations, trademarks and any personal data of other people), and that your content is lawful and doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights.
  • You will compensate us for any claims, losses and costs arising from content you supply that infringes someone’s rights or breaks the law.
  • We may refuse or stop work on content we reasonably believe is unlawful or infringing.
  • Your content stays yours. You allow us to use your files only to quote for, produce and deliver your order. We will show your books as examples only with your permission.
  • We keep your files for as long as we need them for your order and may then delete them. Always keep your own copies.

Colour, Materials and Quantities

  • Printed colour can differ from how colours look on a screen, and slightly between print runs and paper stocks. Variations within normal printing tolerances are not a defect. If colour is critical, ask us for a printed proof.
  • If a specified material becomes unavailable, we may use an equivalent of the same or better quality and will tell you before we do.
  • Book production involves small overs and unders. The quantity delivered may differ slightly from the quantity ordered, within the tolerance stated in your quotation, and is invoiced as delivered.

Production and Delivery

Production and delivery times on the website and in quotations are estimates. They start once your files are final, your proof is approved and any agreed payment is received. We do our best to meet them but are not liable for delays caused by carriers or by events outside our control.

Please check your delivery when it arrives and note any visible damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt, then tell us as soon as possible.

Defects and Complaints

If books are defective because of our printing or binding, tell us in writing within 14 days of delivery, with photos and, where we ask, sample copies. Hidden defects that only appear later should be reported as soon as you find them.

Where a defect is confirmed, we will at our choice reprint the affected copies, repair them, or refund the affected part of the price. Errors in approved files or proofs, and colour or quantity variations within the tolerances above, are not defects.

If You Are a Consumer

Most of our customers order for a business, but if you order as a private individual, these terms don’t limit the rights consumer law gives you.

Books are printed to your own specifications and content, so they are made to order. Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c)) and the equivalent rules in Kosovo, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to them. This doesn’t affect your rights if books are defective.

Samples, Factory Visits and Travel

Free sample packages are sent while stocks last, normally one per company. Factory visits are by appointment.

For orders above €5,000 we cover flight and hotel for an inspection visit. The conditions (number of visitors, dates, class of travel and number of nights) are agreed in writing for each order before you book.

Intellectual Property

The website, its text, design, logo, illustrations and photography belong to us or our licensors. You may view and share pages for your own use, but not copy, republish or sell them without our written permission.

Logos of publishers and institutions shown on the website belong to their owners.

Our Liability

As far as the law allows:

  • the website is provided as it is, without guarantees that it is error-free or always available;
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data;
  • our total liability arising from an order is limited to the price paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as supply shortages, transport disruption, strikes, power or IT failures, natural disasters, epidemics, war or government action. We will tell you as soon as possible and resume as soon as we can.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms and any contract with us are governed by the laws of Kosovo. Disputes will be settled by the competent courts of Prishtina. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there.

Before going to court, please contact us: most issues can be resolved quickly by talking.

General

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. Your quotation, order confirmation and these terms are the whole agreement for an order.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version; the version in force when your order was confirmed applies to that order.
