Who We Are

Printoria Books (“we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal data described in this policy, as the data controller. Our company details are listed on this page.

For any question about your personal data, or to use your rights, email [email protected]. We reply within one month.

We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which applies because we offer our services to people in the European Union, and the Law on Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Kosovo (Law No. 06/L-082).

What We Collect

We only collect what you give us and what is technically needed to run the website:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number and delivery country, the topic you choose and your message.
  • Quote requests from the book calculator: your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number and message, together with the book you configured (size, pages, paper, binding, cover, quantity, production speed, delivery country) and the indicative price shown.
  • Emails and calls: whatever you choose to tell us when you contact us directly, including files you send.
  • Orders: the details needed to produce, invoice and deliver your books, such as billing and delivery addresses and your files. These are agreed in your quotation.
  • Technical data: your IP address and browser details, recorded with your session and in our server logs, and used to keep the website secure and to stop abuse of our forms.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, we do not build profiles, and we do not make automated decisions about you. The calculator’s price is an indicative estimate, not a decision about you.

Please don’t send us sensitive personal data (such as health information) through our forms. If your book contains personal data of other people, you are responsible for having the right to share it with us for printing.

We do not send newsletters or marketing emails. If we ever want to, we will ask for your consent first.

Who We Share It With

We never sell your personal data. We share it only where needed for the purposes above:

  • Our production partners: the printing houses in our network receive your book specification and, where needed, your name and company, to prepare your quotation and print your order.
  • Delivery partners: DHL and freight carriers receive the delivery details for your order.
  • Service providers who run our website and email for us (hosting, email delivery), under contracts that bind them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers (accountants, lawyers) and authorities, where the law requires it or to establish or defend legal claims.

Google Fonts: our pages load their typeface from Google’s servers, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads. Google’s privacy policy applies to that request. No Google cookies are set.

AI assistant links: the “Ask AI” buttons in our footer open ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, Claude or Google in a new tab with a question about Printoria Books. Nothing is sent to these services unless you click, and what you then share with them is governed by their own privacy policies.

International Transfers

We are based in Kosovo and work with production partners across the Balkans and with service providers that may process data in other countries. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area for a country without an adequacy decision from the European Commission, we protect it with appropriate safeguards such as the Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or rely on the transfer being necessary for the quotation or contract you asked for (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR).

You can ask us for more information about these safeguards at [email protected].

How Long We Keep It

  • Messages and quote requests that don’t lead to an order: deleted automatically 24 months after our last contact about them.
  • Orders, invoices and related correspondence: kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires, then deleted.
  • Session data (including your IP address and browser details): deleted automatically after the session expires, 120 minutes after your last visit.
  • Server logs: kept for a short period for security, then deleted by our hosting provider.

If you ask us to delete your data earlier, we will, unless we must keep it by law or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Correct data that is wrong or incomplete
  • Have your data deleted
  • Restrict how we use your data
  • Receive the data you gave us in a portable format
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • Withdraw any consent you have given, at any time

To use these rights, email [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. Using your rights is free.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Kosovo, the Information and Privacy Agency; in the EU, the authority in the country where you live or work. We would appreciate the chance to sort out your concern first.

How We Protect It

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Quote requests and messages are stored in a database that only signed-in members of our team can access, our forms are protected against automated abuse, and we give access to personal data only to people who need it for their work.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Children

Our services are for publishers, authors, institutions and businesses. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when our website or our use of personal data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, we will tell you before it takes effect where we can.
